Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home that has a combined gross household income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family revenue isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or intend to study in a general public university or website TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
